I don't _know_ that any of the updates actually fixes this. It just seems to me that the kernel's menuconfig was fixed at some point. Nothing that I know of has addressed the man page output. Here is a workaround that was posted to the Psyche list some time ago: From: Chris Kloiber To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Fri, 2002-10-11 at 18:20, BitBasher wrote: > This is new with RedHat 8.0 - they're now supporting Unicode in the > console. Prior to make menuconfig, try: # unicode_stop ; setfont lat0-sun16 This will temporarily "fix" things so that make menuconfig will work. # setfont latarcyrheb-sun16 ; unicode_start Puts thing back the way they were (or log out of the terminal, IIRC) - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.{2,3}|8.0 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.7 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+Ys6Ln/07WoAb/SsRAj4zAKCuKKWXscrIR+kbC0iKLQX862dZpQCfaxXo UOPnDy0Rp8YZPtnRd1dwNPw= =2V2h -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
