I have a default install of RH 8 and mySQL 3.23.15 (I think) and I can get things to work just fine using PHP locally, but if I try from another server to run some PHP scripts I am told that I am unable to connect.

MySQL sets its thread stack size too small, and causes the resolver to crash.
