I was just getting ready to write on this subject when it came up on its
own. I've found a couple of problems with 4.05 and wanted to see if
anyone else has the same thing.
In a form-type window or download window (where you can choose the name
and/or location to save) my cursor doesn't work. I usually download to a
particular drive. I cursor back, erase the drive location name and
replace it with the one I want. That ability has stopped working since I
installed 4.05.
I've found the same behavior in search engines and other forms when I
only wanted to delete part of a line.
I can highlight the part I want to get rid of and delete it or overwrite
it but, cursor activity has stopped working.
ALT-cursor-left has stopped working as well. Maybe it's related.
This is after updating using the RPM version rather than the tar. The
original install was also from the RPM.
Has anyone had the same problem with the RPM version? What about the
tarball?
If the tar works and the RPM doesn't, I'll redo it. If both are broke or
it's just me, I'll revert back to 4.04 or try again.
