which clearly says to see images, you use X.

Which is not really what the guy asked. He asked if he could see them
from the console without starting X. You said no.
I'm outta here for the weekend, so feel free to be as defensive as you
want. You made a mistake, and I give you full credit for admitting it
as much as you did, but you clearly told the guy he couldn't do what
he wanted to do.
