I have a nfsd running to export more than one file systems. Many desktops and servers mount them to their local disk. But one dell PE2650 cannot mount the first nfs file system and the error message is "RPC port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive" and the following nfs file systems are mounted OK. If I change the order of the nfs files in /etc/fstab, always the first one cannot be mounted. After the system started up, I can always mount the failed file system manually by typing e.g. "mount /usr/local"
HEllo,
Are the rpc daemons started before you're mounting those disks?
