This is a follow up of my earlier post regarding my laptop and
firewire problems.
RedHat 8.0 detects and attempts to initialize my cd-rw. There's a
long pause while it detects, and several "bus reset" error messages for the
IEEE1394 bus. The first time I attempt to mount it ("mount /dev/scd0
/mnt/cdrom") there is again the long pause, and several IEEE1394 bus reset
error messages. Mount then fails with "no medium found." On subsequent
attempts, mount fails with no medium found without the long pause.
