Look in /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc or /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf to disable the shutdown option on the login screen. Each desktop also offers the option to shutdown when logging out. This option can be enables/disabled by users, and no doubt it will change a config file in the users's home directory. You'll just need to find that file and make the mod for all users. >We use a number of login scripts, mainly because of our network >configuration (access rights, protected filesystems etc) but they don't >seem to run when we log in at the computer (through GRUB) or via an X >emulator (Exceed, XThinPro Cygwin). Is there any way (and this may have >already been answered) we can force these scripts to run on user login? Try running them from /etc/X11/xdm/GiveConsole. Tony -- Anthony E.
