Read that, its a known problem. Btw the GTK2 version apparently also has Xft support but is also much faster.
i've already done the reading on this, even download the GCC3.2 version of the java-vm and still had the problem. how i have to figure out how i'm going to uninstall and reinstall 1.2 again. i really need my java-vm :). isn't there a simple way for a roll back?
