Hi, I am trying to move the users home directories to a new hard disk as the current one is running out diskspace and it is the same physical disk having the linux OS also. How can the home directories can be moved to a new disk without disturbing the permissions and I have one more question too .. I am trying to give my users a windows network neighbourhood kind off feel by using LISa daemon. Should the LISa daemon be run in all the systems or in a single server so the user can connect to it for accessing the other systems in the network ? Is it a must to set up and run a DNS server for displaying the hostnames instead of the IP addresses. Can any one please give me some idea about this.
