Like Kevin Myers' post, I am not running NIS, either. My update went OK,
but I did need to change the permissions on '/usr/bin/smbmnt' again to
04711, which seems to be a Red Hat 8.0 concern when using
LinNeighborhood to mount shares as user. Haven't tried to change
passwords or any server-side mods as yet.
