Group:
I just purchased Redhat Linux but hasn't yet arrived. I have superficial familiarity
with Unix. I carefully reviewed the installation guide but before I get started
installing, have a few real basic questions that would help me get ready. Certainly
if a FAQ or HOWTO exists, please just point me to the documentation if and I'll just
read it...
1.) Ethernet connection:
I currently have two computers hooked in an Ethernet (peer-peer) running Win95 each.
One computer (A), I am going to re-partition a brand new hard drive for Linux, but has
poor video display so I would like to access it with system running win95 (B). Win95
system (B) has no Unix or Linux on it. What is the best method to access my Linux (A)
computer using my Win95 (B) system, ie., open telnet, or a graphics user interface to
apps running on my linux computer?

Is it necessary to install some sort of Unix or Linux emulation under DOS on my Win95
(B) system or is there a Windows app that will allow graphical or non-graphical
interface to my Linux (A) system ?

2.) Dial Up Connection:
I would like to do a similar thing as 1.) except in the dial-up mode from an outside
location using a win95 laptop? Do I need some sort of Linux/Unix on that or can I
set up telnet or another app to do this within win95 in dial-up mode?
3.) Recommendation for dual boot setup.
Can LILO be setup to boot into either Linux or DOS/Windows on start up? I would like
to use "Disk Druid" to partition all my Linux and DOS/Win95 partitions on my (A)
system since it's responsibilities are shared between Unix and DOS.
Thanks, Mike
