There are several ways, e.g. graphical desktop tools or command-line
operation. Which one you like depends on your preferences.

What kind of file-system is on the floppy disk? MS-DOS? EXT2?

If it's formatted as FAT and are familiar with copying files
to and from disks under MS-DOS or Windows command-prompt,
an easy and fast way for Linux beginners is to use "mtools":

  mcopy file a:
  mcopy a:file somedirectory

You recognize the familiar "drive letters" from Microsoft World.
See "man mtools" and "rpm -qd mtools" for documentation.
