Hello,

I am using RH4.2. I just removed some packages that I don't need anymore
(namely, the kernel package along with kernel-headers and kernel-source.
Reason is that I compiled the latest kernels (2.0.32 and 2.0.33) and
have no need for 2.0.30.
Now everytime I run rpm -Va, I get dependencies complains, like
"unsatisfied dependencies for libc-devel: kernel-headers etc....
How can I tell rpm to just ignore those dependencies every time i run
rpm -Va ? I know I can add --nodeps, but isn't there a way to rebuild
the database to just ignore those specific dependencies? I tried rpm
--rebuilddb but that didn't do it.

TIA for an answer

Karl
