My /proc/<pid>/maps for a Java process gives me:

4001b000-40028000 r-xp 00000000 08:06 75486 /lib/i686/libpthread-0.10.so

Does this mean that I'm using NPTL?

I'm running on a Redhat 8. I thought this was to be released in Redhat 9, but it is
already in release 8, or...? So what's the big buzz about NPTL in Redhat 9 if it is
already there?

Best regards
Søren
