Ok, I've been having this problem with my email server for like the
longest
time and it's bugging the heck out of me. Basically in a nutshell, I have an IMAP server running with sendmail and the secure sendmail. I can log into the web client fine receive and send email fine. I use outlook because I can't get HTML mail in my web client. I am using the server name inoutlook, nvethis.d2g.com for the incoming and outgoing. Seting it up as IMAP. I can get email fine in outlook, but it wont send it. This is the error I get in outlook: Task 'NVETHIS IMP'- Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' I have monitored my /var/log/maillog whild doing this and here is a snipit from it: Mar 26 19:54:59 nvethis imapd[5027]: imaps SSL service init from 65.56.17.219 Mar 26 19:55:02 nvethis imapd[5027]: Login user=bheusmann host=dialup-65.56.17.219.Dial1.Richmond1.Level3.net [65.56.17.219] Mar 26 19:55:04 nvethis imapd[5028]: imaps SSL service init from 65.56.17.219 Mar 26 19:55:06 nvethis imapd[5028]: Login user=bheusmann host=dialup-65.56.17.219.Dial1.Richmond1.Level3.net [65.56.17.219] Mar 26 19:55:07 nvethis imapd[5027]: Command stream end of file, while reading line user=bheusmann host=dialup-65.56.17.219.Dial1.Richmond1.Level3.net [65.56.17.219] Mar 26 20:00:24 nvethis imapd[5049]: imaps SSL service init from 65.56.17.219 Mar 26 20:00:26 nvethis imapd[5049]: Login user=bheusmann host=dialup-65.56.17.219.Dial1.Richmond1.Level3.net [65.56.17.219] Mar 26 20:01:05 nvethis imapd[5049]: Logout user=bheusmann host=dialup-65.56.17.219.Dial1.Richmond1.Level3.net [65.56.17.219] Mar 26 20:05:36 nvethis imapd[5130]: imaps SSL service init from 65.56.17.219 Mar 26 20:06:13 nvethis imapd[5130]: Login user=bheusmann host=dialup-65.56.17.219.Dial1.Richmond1.Level3.net [65.56.17.219] Can someone PLEASSSSSE help me?
