Hey,
If you make the OS level high enough it will win the Master browser every time. I have
a situation by a client where they are too big for their SBS server but too small
finanacially to justify 2 servers with Win2k server and Exchange and Proxy server and
the licencing costs and the maintenance costs . . . .

What I did is moved the home directory/file system work to a samba server which I made
a member server in the domain. SBS accepts this setup. In other words SBS is a
PDC/Exchange server and Samba is the fileserver, firewall, proxy, and web server.

Since the move +/- 9 months ago there has been no problems with the
Linux/Samba/Web/Proxy server and we had to restart the SBS server twice or three
times. We are now planning to move the rest of the SBS server stuff (authentication
and mail) to the Linux machine in the next couple of months.

Hope this helps - good luck!!

Regards / Met vriendelijk groet,
