Location: Seven Hills, Sydney, Australia, (just at the end of the M2)
Type: Permanent Position
We are seeking a highly motivated person with EXCELLENT Internet/DSL
troubleshooting skills to join the technical team of a Broadband ISP
specialising in xDSL, Fibre and Wireless. You will have the opportunity
to experience new technologies, network security and management, major
project rollouts and server administration.
Knowledge of the following systems and software is desired but training
opportunities will be available:
Required:
+ ISP Helpdesk Skills
+ xDSL Technology Support/Troubleshooting (must prove skill)
+ VPN Concepts
+ Linux Servers - Build and Admin (RedHat 7 or Debian) - Excellent
skills required
- Proxy (Squid), Mail (Postfix/Qmail), Web (Apache), Radius, DNS
(Bind9)
+ Project Management Skills
+ LAN / WAN Design and Management Skills
+ Own mode of transport
Desired:
+ Helpdesk Level 2 and Management experience (KPI/Trends/etc)
+ Cisco Router Configuration (DSL, Routing concepts, Upgrading/Recovery,
etc)
+ Cisco PIX Firewalls
+ Understanding of Wireless Networks
+ Novell Netware 6+ / GroupWise 6+
+ Windows Platforms (NT/2000/XP) and Servers (Exchange/ISA/etc)
+ Network Security concepts
+ Pre-Sales Tech Support
+ Programming Skills: PHP, Perl
+ Scripting Skills: Shell
+ Willing to study for certification (if not already)
