I doubt it. 'ú' is the incorrect display of the byte sequence which composes the 'ú' character in UTF-8. It's not being displayed correctly because his terminal emulation software thinks that the server is using a character encoding which is not UTF-8 (specifically, it is expecting a single-byte encoding). If he tells his client software that the server is using UTF-8, then the characters will be displayed correctly.
