Upgrading to 9.0 from 6.0

I am looking for any help or suggestions of where I can find reading material to help me with a server upgrade.  The current server is used to hold student websites for a University.  There are approximately 4,000 user accounts on the system.  My questions include: 1)  What is the process to upgrade the system? 2)  Is it possible to do an upgrade from 6.0 to the most current 9.0   I am new at this so if you need any more information, please let me know.  Thanks for your help!     ==================================== Davy Campano [EMAIL PROTECTED] Asst.
