I'd like configure a backup mail server for my domain. The backup mail
server is a RedHat box in another domain. It would seem I need to do the
following:

1) Create a higher numbered MX record in my domain's dns entry that points to
   the backup mail server.

2) On the backup up mail server, configure sendmail.mc to uncomment the line
   containing "FEATURE(`relay_based_on_MX')dnl".

Is this all that is necessary? Will this configure the backup mail server to
store all email for my domain if my domain is unreachable and forward it when
it becomes reachable? Or does this just allow it to relay but some other
configuration is required to allow for store and forward.

How can I test that this actually works? If I shut down sendmail on my
primary mail server, how can I verify that mail actually was stored and
forwarded via the backup once sendmail is restarted on the primary?

TIA!
