Anyone have any ideas? I seem to be getting this more and more frequently.
I found one solution that suggested to use 'hdparm -d1 /dev/hda'. 1. Who else has had this problem and what did you do to solve it? 2. Why does it happen in the first place? 3. Do I need to execute the command above each time I boot up, or does it only need to be executed once? Here is the error: > hda: timeout waiting for DMA > ide_dmaproc: chipset supported ide_dma_timeout func only: 14 > hda: status error: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete DateRequest } > hda: drive not ready for command Thanks, Chris. -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
