dmesg should show you if your SCSI interface is recognized and whether
or not any other devices are seen during boot. Also, in the case of
drives, it will show you what partitions are seen.

I would think (and could be wrong) that getting whatever interface you
have recognized would be the key.
I have (on a laptop) a PCMICA SCSI. It gets seen at boot and all
attached devices are seen as well. I also have a parallel port SCSI that
even 'Do$e can't see unless I turn the scanner on (the SCSI interface
needs power provided by the scanner) and then all devices can be seen.
Otherwise, nothing is found.
May be something like what you're experiencing.

Not yet. Once I take over the GW2K system here and kill 'Do$e I plan on
working on the scanner part.
