Our company has recently gone with Legato for its "corporate-wide" backup
utility, which is not bad all things considered. It's a fairly nice piece
of software, and I'm not terribly unhappy with it, EXCEPT...
It doesn't like our RedHat 5.0 machines. Boxhill supplies a Linux client,
EXCEPT it returns:
[root@reagan linux]# ./nsrexecd
./nsrexecd: can't find library 'libc.so.4'
Any suggestions? The company that makes Legato "emphatically does not
support this platform", which cheeses me off, but we want to make this
work because
(a) The Powers That Be have already decided that Legato is the
way, and all appropriate Holy Waters and Blessings have been
spread over the software license, and more importantly
(b) If we say "Linux doesn't work with that", then we can guarantee
a long miserable hell of NT and Slowlaris machines because
"those machines can be backed up at least via the corporate
means and don't require independent backup solutions".
Any assistance would be appreciated.
