I was wondering if anyone knew how to start a new kernel image
from linux without rebooting. I know that they do something similar during
Caldera
installation, because after installation, it boots right into the system.

This would help, because i keep 2
different kernels (2.0.33 and 2.1.95) on disk and boot them when i need
a certain 'feature'

also: has anyone noted any problems using PPP on the development kernels?
I have problems with it on 2.1.89-95 (it works on 2.0.33). It won't dial out
for about 10 seconds,
and then never connects right.
