I think we misunderstood : I'm a debian user too, so I know how apt works too :) An apt command alone, be it "apt-cache show somthing" or "apt-get install this" doesn't mean anything as long as you don't have repositories in your sources.list What repositories do you use ? FreshRPMs ? Dag ? Fedora ? Those repositories doesn't provide the Evolution 1.4 packages. Said in another way, my question was : "Which repository do you use for your Evolution 1.4 packages ?"
