Dear Linux Gurus:
This is kinda off the Linux topic, however, I hope someone can help
me out. I telneted to my solaris 2.5.1 via my linux box. I was
trying to define a gateway for the solaris box. I did the
following command to add a route...
route -net add 3.0.0.0 1.100.1.4 1
It came back fine, and I am now able to route packet to network #3
via the 1.100.1.4 gateway. Somewhere during this process, I must
have screwed up the hostname. The original hostname is supposed to
be "harps", but now the prompt is showing "nms". "nms" is my other
Sun box. when I do an nslookup on harps and nms, both have different
IP addresses.
Question? When I do a telnet to a host, what are the initial files
being read? Thanks for all the help...
