Hi guys, Recently, I bought a new laptop Inspiron 8500, and installed my first Red Hat.
All the things runs properly, but the FTP. But more extrange, the FTP client and the server!!! Ive got in my private LAN, three machines. The server, my laptop and another. If Im the client with my laptop, getting archives by FTP of the server, the speed is always, always, around 170 kb/sc :-( If Im the server, the client machine get the archives from my laptop, always around 170 kb/sc too :-( But more extrange!!. If a runs an Apache on my laptop, the client machine get the archives from my laptop at 7-8 Mbytes/sc, a normal speed. Only happens with the FTP protocol!!!. And it happens being client and server!!!. If I use another client/server on my laptop, the result if the same... :-( Problem of my network?. Not. With Apache the speed is OK. Problem of my hardware?. Not. With Apache the speed is OK. Problem of the client/server FTP?. Not, I use another client/server, and the result was bad. Any idea?. I read ALL documents, faqs, lists, asked in IRC, but nothing... If you can help me...
