Well, it gets more difficult in case you interrupted an upgrade or
downgraded some packages. Running

  rpm --query redhat-release kernel
  
might give a hint. If that is not enough, provide the versions of
more core packages and also look at

  rpm --query --all --last | less

to see when and in which order packages were installed.


Btw, please trim your quotes! There's absolutely no need to quote
full mail headers and full messages.
