Hi all,

I got a second-hand Voodoo3 card from a friend. I see that Red Hat
claims to support it and, indeed, when I insert it into my cheap
Walmart.com computer, all seems well. I see a message from the BIOS on
the video card, the integrated display circuitry appears to Kudzu to
have been removed, and Kudzu detects the new card and installs a driver
for it. The display is clear in text mode.

However, when I start X the display is obviously not right and is
unreadable. This problem also (identically) affects
redhat-config-xfree86. So I cannot use that utility. When I pull the
card out, the integrated display circuitry displays just fine, including
X.

I know little about X. Any ideas what I can do? Do I need to load or
tweak a Voodoo3 driver? Do I need to modify something in X? Any help
would be appreicated.
