Yup, it's /sbin/dhcp-script that's overwriting the file. As root,
I edited /sbin/dhcp-script and instead of line 28, I entered lines
echo search customer.nl >> /etc/resolv.conf
echo search customer.co.uk >> /etc/resolv.conf
echo search customer.com >> /etc/resolv.conf

But this is a bit of a hack. I'd like to be able to customize this
by editing stuff in /etc/sysconfig and IIRC, in RH < 8 I was
able to do this...
