Sure, anyone can do that on an individual basis, but I'm talking people in corporate environments, and/or newbies who just want to install Linux at home, and they want to use the default notification tool and up2date. Is the source code available for these tools, and has it been scrutinized for any privacy or security issues? Or is this something proprietary to RH? If it's an issue, I will start recommending some other avenue to clients who are worried about it. If not, I'd like to be able to assure them that it's not. I am an independent applications programmer and therefore am usually regarded as a neutral source of information, so clients often ask me about this stuff rather than, or in addition to, their sysadmin. --Lee -- What The...? http://www.what-the.com -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
