To some degree, this is a common topic. HOWEVER, <g> this is a different
twist on the topic.
I have 96M RAM installed, so I added the following line to the kernel
stanza of lilo.conf:
append="ram=96M"
and rebuilt lilo.
The problem is that free still reports only 64M. I know that I had done
this before -- and I'm almost certain the systax was the same -- and it
worked then. One of my associates has the same problem.
Every reference I check for the append command shows this syntax and says
to put it at the end of the linux kernel stanza. So, what am I missing
here? Please show me the error of my ways. <g>
