Hi folks, for a while the gremlins have been playing with my PC, and although they seem to have gone away now I still have one remaining.
When I boot up, although I don't see any error messages it hangs for a number of minutes when it gets the the 'initialising SWAP space' (I can't remember the exact message). After this delay, the PC then proceeds as normal and I can use it fine. Can anyone suggest a reason for this, and how I can fix it. Presumably I'll have to boot in a minimal runlevel, disable, reformat, re-enable swap to fix it, but can anyone point be to any docs on how to do this.
