Cause you may have the wrong rpm package and it will never work and squirrelmail doesn't give you rpm in www.squirrelmail.org
The important thing is make it work.. I don't care how.. I didn't use rpm.. doesn't need it and you don't need to search the net for the right rpm packet. But if it works for you find!!! Rpm work in most case.. but sometime you just don't need it Fryclau -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rodolfo J. Why you will use RPM when you don't need it at all???? WHY?? Standardization of file locations, ease of upgrades, ease of management, ease of replication to other servers, ease of application for patches (security or otherwise), and of course, ease of installation. 1. rpm -Uvh squirrelmail-x-x-x-x-x-.rpm 2. Run conf.pl 3. Done. How is that more difficult than doing it manually? Why would you do it manually when RPM is so much easier???? WHY?? -- Rodolfo J.
