Dunno what I should be expecting from my new-to-me Toshiba 3440CT, but seems 
reasonable. Just ran through about a two-hour meeting on it, and I've just 
got RH9 on it.

One thing - do you have the laptop's BIOS configured to turn down the h/d 
after a fairly short period of inactivity, or does it just keep spinning?
