It may seem like this is the wrong place to post, but I think the issue is with sendmail. I'm trying to setup Mailman for a small mailing list for our county school system. Mailman itself seems to work, I can subscribe from the web page, and I get an email confirming the subscribe, I reply back and get confirmed. Now here's where I get the problem. When I send an email to the mailing list it doesn't get sent. I don't get a bounce, per se, but I get nothing. Now, when I telnet to port 25 and try to send an email from there to an email address outside, I get a relaying not allowed error -- IP name lookup failed. I conclude from this that sendmail isn't configured to allow relaying, but I need confirmation of that and also help on how to fix it. I'm a newbie with sendmail so I'm kind of lost. Anyone got ideas for me?
