Yes, this is correct if you read the latter parts of the manual that I
published then you know that stage1 is 512 bytes long so it doesn't do
much except either load stage1_5 or stage2. but in the manual it listed
the error messages from each stage and the output reported doesn't fall
into any of the categories reported.  And it also rules out any geometry
change, etc... The possibility it left open is that it is not able to
resolve how the bios reports the disk so it guesses and then uses it
device map to resolve the issue and it says it can be quite wrong about
this guess.   So I'm suggesting that everyone reload, read the manual
and go from there.  Also I'm noting Ashley's response to this email.
