A friend showed me a weird problem yesterday. Perl programs did not run on his RH8 box gui (Gnome, Enlightenment, TWM) on Eterm/Xterm/Gnome-terminal alike but when we switched by pressing Ctrl+F1 (non-gui mode), PERL programs worked flawlessly! Any idea what the problem could be. It's the first time that I encounter such weird behavior!
