I'm having a bit of a problem with Netscape Communicator 4.05 and XFree86 on RedHat 5.0. Frequently, I get a largbe popup window (containing output from stderr I believe) that says: Warning: Name: Text Class: XmTextField Character 'h' not supported in font. Discarded. Warning: Name: Text Class: XmTextField Character 't' not supported in font. Discarded. Warning: Name: Text Class: XmTextField Character 't' not supported in font. Discarded. Warning: Name: Text Class: XmTextField Character 'p' not supported in font. Discarded. etc. >From this, I can deduce that the Motif text widget used to display the Location field is having some severe problems. I noted on Netscape's help site that this is a "bug in some versions of the OpenWindows X Server" but somehow I don't think this applies to Linux. My question is this: has anyone else encountered this problem and managed to solve it? I've tried playing around with the ordering of my FontPaths as suggested in the Netscape help file, but with no success. My font config is listed below. FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc:unscaled" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/URW" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi" FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc" Thanks in advance for the help, Brian -- Brian Landers, Web Developer [EMAIL PROTECTED] T: 404/582.9018 S T U D I O A R C H E T Y P E http://www.studioarchetype.com Atlanta New York San Francisco -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
