<lol> I _really_ feel that the $80 I spent on books to learn ipchains, plus the time to read them and master them, plus the reluctance I had to use "builder scripts" for my firewall, were all an asinine, misguided, antediluvian, stupider-than-usual mistake. Iptables and Shorewall are my friends. ;-)
