Sorry, big plug for <SHUDDER> pay software. Look at jBase (www.jac.com).

This runs happily on RH (demo copy on WebSite for 5.0). It is a 
'post-relational' database system based on PICK. We run a database of around 
1Gb with 15 users quite happily on a PPRO 180 box. A major British bank is 
setting up a system for 2000 concurrent users (admittedly on a DB/2 backend, 
but using jBase as the controlling engine).

Note: My only connection with JAC is being a VERY happy customer :-)
