I haven't used Cyrix chips, but from what I understand alot of their
problems come from the fact that they use write back cache as opposed to
write through cache.  Write back cache can enhance performance, but
there is an extra cache flush that needs to be performed.  If this flush
is nor performed properly, problems result.

NOTE: I could be mostly or totally incorrect about this assesment.  If I
am wrong or have explained it poorly, please correct me.
