After upgrading to 8.0, I get an error message telling me that /dev/null is not executable when I try to enter that with a chsh command. We use this when setting up ftp accounts for access to our web server. I can still go into /etc/passwd and manually enter that - and it works. So, if nothing else, I could just change the instructions for setting up ftp accounts.

But I'm wondering why the change?
