Personally I'd try compiling a source rpm to see if the dependencies could 
be overcome.  I found this one at rpmfind.net:

ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/rawhide/SRPMS/SRPMS/abiword-2.0.0-2.src.rpm
