Whilst each swap partition can only be < 128MB, you can have 16 swap
partitions - which will give you up to 2048MB swap.
Given the way swap is used (don't forget you can prioritise swap
partition usage in /etc/fstab), you are better off to use several swap
partitions spread across different disk drives in any case.
