: I'm having trouble getting my CDROm to be read as a user other than
: When I try to play Cd's as root it works, but when I try as user bunty I
: get the Error ,read or acces error, make sure you have read permissions
: to /dev/cdrom.
: The fstab line dealing with my cdrom goes as follows:
: /dev/hdb /mnt/cdrom iso6990
: noauto,ro,user,unhide 0 0
how bout chmod? is it set to g+rx and 0+rx? (i think it nees chmod 666 for
CD? correct me please)
and, are you mounting it properly?
&& option: just try it with: su -
|| make sure user bunty has wheel access, i.e., gid 0.
one more really small thing: you mean ISO9660, right? :) ISO6990 is *not*
what you are looking for here :)
