I had a machine with scsi drives which worked ok then added an ide drive.
the machine booted off the ide drive without any action on my part (it was
already formated as a bootable drive).
I copied some files from ide to scsi disks, removed the ide drive
and it went back to booting off the scsi all by itself.
I think it's a bios thing. The os was win95 on the scsi and dos on the ide
but i suspect it would not make any difference if another os, such as linux,
was involved.
