Degausing removes the partition table.
Create a new one using linux or dos fdisk.
Create one partition only, make it primary, and
make it partition number 4 - that's the "standard"
configuration, for some strante reason. Then
you can 'format' it on windows or Linux.
mkdosfs /dev/sda4 might do it, if you have
just one zip drive connected. If you have a scsi
controller too, you might need sdb4 instead of sda4.
