The Cartman installation guide walks you through doing a RAID based 
installation.  Rather than choosing "Linux native", you choose "Linux RAID"
for your partition type during the installation..  Once you do that, it's
pretty straight-forward.  RH has been including (since 6.0) the newer RAID
patches, which don't require you to do the old mdstart|mdadd|mdrun stuff.
The new patches store the RAID info in the RAID itself, rather than only in
a text file.  It also permits the RAID to be "autostarted"...

Note that I haven't done a Cartman RAID installation, just read about it
in the installation guide.  My big test for Cartman is running Oracle 8i.
