Hi!
I have a question that I believe has more to do with lilo and general
boot than raid in particular.
Right? I assume this since it is all working nicely on distribution
kernel.
Most greatful for assistance.
I need rh 6.1 for raid1 but 2.2.13 kernel for improved smp and
fix of eepro100 drivers in system with 4 cards.
1. Installed rh6.1 on md0(hda1/hdc1) with swap on md1(hda5/hdc5)
and booting etc works great
but .... i need 2.2.13 kernel
2. Built/installed 2.2.13 with raid options etc
3. Lilo(make install) complains about to many cylinders on disk
4. Doing a standard build of kernel
5. Lilo.conf - i just add a new entry and run lilo. complains
like at 3.
6. 2.2.12 stil boots fine from md0
Problem
2.2.13 wont boot. md not running, kernel panic, unable to mount
on 9,0 etc
What?
What do I need to make this work? It works with 2.2.12.
Kernel parameters? Boot parameters? Ramdisk?
Please give me a step bu step on how to solve this.
I am certain that others like to know how to solve this as well.
